Seeker: everything you need to know about SKR

What is Seeker?

Seeker is a Solana web3 smartphone with its own dApp Store and built-in crypto functionality. The device is designed to use blockchain apps directly on your phone, with features such as wallet functionality and on-chain interaction already integrated into the device and ecosystem.

Instead of combining separate apps and tools, Seeker brings everything together in one environment. This way you can manage crypto, use dApps and perform on-chain actions from a single device, with more control over how apps are offered and used.

How does Seeker work?

Seeker combines smartphone hardware with features specially developed for crypto. The device includes a Seed Vault Wallet that uses secure hardware, and a dApp Store where you can download and use web3 apps directly. In addition, every user receives a Seeker ID with their own .skr domain, which serves as a digital identity within the ecosystem.

Under the hood, Seeker works with a system called TEEPIN. Within this model, so-called Guardians check, among other things, whether devices are genuine, whether software is trustworthy, and which apps are allowed. By doing so, Seeker aims to build a mobile platform in which no single party determines everything, but where control and security are distributed across the network.

The SKR token

SKR is the native asset of the Solana Mobile ecosystem. The token is used for governance, staking, and aligning incentives among users, developers, Guardians, and hardware partners. Holders can also delegate SKR to support the network and receive staking rewards. SKR has a total supply of 10 billion tokens.

The technology behind Seeker

Seeker’s technology revolves around TEEPIN (Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network). This system connects secure hardware, software and users with a network of Guardians.

A key component of this is Trusted Execution Environments: isolated parts of the phone where sensitive data is securely stored and processed. This allows the device to prove that it is trustworthy without the need for a central party.
