Be alert: Data breach at Odido

It has recently become known that a data breach has occurred at Odido. As a result, customers’ personal data may have been compromised. Customers of Ben, a subsidiary of Odido, may also have been affected. Although BLOX itself is not involved in this incident, criminals may use stolen data to impersonate a trusted party, possibly even BLOX.

We therefore ask you to remain extra vigilant. Below, you can read what to watch out for.

What can you look out for as a BLOX user?

Using leaked personal data, criminals may attempt to contact you in a credible manner. For example, you may receive a phone call from someone pretending to be a BLOX employee, a text message with an urgent notification about your account, or an email that is difficult to distinguish from a legitimate one.

We would like to explicitly emphasize that BLOX will never call, email, or text you to ask for your password, PIN code, verification codes, or recovery phrase. We will also never ask you to transfer crypto to secure your account. If you receive such a request, you can assume it is not from BLOX.

What should you do if in doubt?

If you receive an unexpected phone call, text message, or email and you question its authenticity, immediately end the contact. Do not click on links and do not share any information. Only contact us through the BLOX app, via our official website https://weareblox.com, or via support@weareblox.com. This way, you can be sure you are communicating with the legitimate organization.

We understand that reports of a data breach can cause concern. By remaining extra vigilant and not sharing sensitive information, you reduce the risk of becoming a victim of fraud. If you have any questions or doubts, always contact us through BLOX’s official channels.
