What is Plasma?

Plasma is a Layer-1 blockchain developed with a strong focus on processing stablecoin transactions. Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies pegged to a stable value, such as the US dollar, and are widely used for payments and financial applications.

The network is primarily intended for situations where speed, low costs and reliability are important, such as payments and financial infrastructure around digital dollars.
