History of the EOS price
In the graph above you can watch the daily price movements. Don’t want to wade through all the data yourself? We’ve listed the depths and highlights below.
-
EOS started in May 2017 as an Initial Coin Offering on the Ethereum blockchain. At the time, one EOS was worth 88 cents. We sure wish we bought earlier...
-
Soon after the ICO, EOS’ value increased enormously. On July 3, 2017, EOS was already worth 4.81 euros.
-
While bitcoin collapsed, EOS shot up like a rocket. On January 13, 2018, EOS was briefly worth 16.67 euros.
-
In April 2018, it was announced that EOS would transfer to its own blockchain. Shortly after the news broke, EOS reached its all-time high: 17.55 euros.
What to expect from the EOS price?
EOS has always been in the top 10 of the most valuable cryptocurrencies, and the coin is traded on more than 100 exchanges. That means that there’s a lot of demand for EOS from the market. And it seems like that demand is not decreasing any time soon. EOS regularly shares vacancies on Twitter, indicating that they are still further developing the software.
Investment company WalletInvestor has made an impressive price prediction, based on the roadmap of the EOS development team Block.one. WalletInvestor expects that
EOS will be worth no less than 811 euros in 2023!
But to be fair, even though other analysts are also positive, no one is willing to make such bold statements. Most analysts expect EOS to be worth around 85 euros in July 2020.
Speculating on the EOS price
With these kind of extreme predictions in mind, we strongly advise doing your own research before you buy EOS. Since investing in an altcoin like EOS is risky, we recommend that you only invest money that you can afford to lose.
